TCNJ Winter Training

2019 TCNJ Winter Training

We are thrilled to announce that we will participate in winter training with an emphasis on defense with TCNJ's Head Coach Sally Miller, at TCNJ's Student Rec Center, Metzger Drive, Ewing Township. The training sessions will be on Sunday afternoons: January 13, 20 and 27, from 3:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. Cost is $155 per player for 6 hours of instruction. Five current Stars' players participated in Coach Sally's training last winter as players on the Long Valley Lasers. Coach Sally's current college players will assist with the personalized training.

Coach Mario and Caroline will provide van transportation for up to 7 players from Califon Dunkin Donuts, departing at 2:00 p.m.

Miller has guided the program to the NCAA Tournament eight times with three appearances in the College World Series, winning the 1996 NCAA crown, taking fourth in 1997, and fifth in 2000. She has produced 13 All-Americans and seven CoSIDA Academic All-Americans.

In 2000, Miller was honored as the New Jersey Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in addition to being tabbed as the National Fastpitch Coach Association East Region Coach of the Year. She again earned those two honors after a very successful 2010 season, which also saw Miller garner her 400th career victory with a win at Rutgers University-Newark on April 10. A former third baseman at the University of Iowa, she was a member of the Hawkeye softball program from 1986 until 1989, serving as team captain for both the 1988 and 1989 squads.
